Delete your account

1. Delete in the app

In the Funds Benchmark iOS or Android app, open your profile and choose Delete account. Confirm when asked. Your account is removed straight away.

2. Delete on the website

Sign in at fundsbenchmark.com, open My Account, go to Data & privacy and choose Delete account. Next to it you can choose Export data to download a copy of what we hold about you first.

3. If you cannot sign in

Email support@fundsbenchmark.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". You can also use this address to ask us to erase records we hold about you if you never had an account. We may ask you a question to check it is you. You do not need to be logged in.

4. What is deleted

Deleting your account removes your Funds Benchmark account and profile details, your watchlists, saved comparisons and settings, and your profile picture.

The usage events and marketing records linked to your account, including those in our email and analytics system and those from our apps, are erased at the same time.

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. If you have one, please cancel it first under My Account.

5. What we keep

If you had unsubscribed from our emails, we keep a minimal record, your email address and the fact that you unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again. We keep a security log of account actions, with your personal details removed, for 12 months from the event and then delete it. We also keep information we are legally required to hold, such as payment and tax records, for up to 7 years and then delete it.

6. How long it takes

Deleting in the app or on the website takes effect straight away. Email requests are completed within 30 days. For how we handle your data in general, see our Privacy Policy.
